Terms of Service

1Application

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the conditions of use for the Japanese lesson service "Yahho Nihongo" ("the Service"), operated by Manmaru LLC ("we," "us," or "the Company"). By booking a lesson through our booking form (Calendly), you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

2Service Description

The Service consists of 1-on-1 Japanese lessons for English speakers, delivered online via the video call tool Google Meet. Lesson content, level, and materials are tailored individually to each student's goals and interests.

3Booking

• Lessons are booked through the booking form (Calendly) on this site.
• After booking, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address, including the Google Meet link for your lesson.
• The trial lesson is 40 minutes for 40 USD (tax included). Pricing for continuing lessons will be provided individually after the trial lesson.

4Payment

Lesson fees are paid via PayPal (credit card, etc.) at the time of booking. Additional fees such as foreign exchange fees set by the payment provider may apply separately.

5Cancellation, Refunds & Rescheduling

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the lesson start time: full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson start time: no refund.
• To reschedule, please follow the instructions in your booking confirmation email.
• If we are unable to hold a lesson due to circumstances on our side (instructor illness, technical issues, etc.), we will offer a rescheduled lesson or a full refund.

6Technical Requirements

Using the Service requires a stable internet connection and a device compatible with Google Meet (PC, smartphone, or tablet). We are not responsible for lessons that cannot be fully delivered due to issues with the student's own connection or device.

7Prohibited Conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

• Record, capture, or livestream a lesson without the instructor's permission
• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell lesson materials or videos without authorization
• Transfer or resell your booked lesson slot to a third party
• Harass, abuse, or make defamatory remarks toward the instructor or other students
• Engage in any other conduct we deem inappropriate for the operation of the Service

8Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise specified, copyright and other intellectual property rights in lesson materials, slides, videos, and other content provided through the Service belong to the Company or its licensors. Use beyond personal, private purposes is not permitted.

9Disclaimer

We do not guarantee any specific learning outcome, test result, or certification as a result of using the Service. We are not liable for delays or interruptions to the Service caused by natural disasters, communication network failures, or other causes beyond our control.

10Changes to or Suspension of the Service

We may change the content of the Service, or suspend or discontinue it, without prior notice. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any resulting damages.

11Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as necessary without prior individual notice. Revised Terms take effect once posted on this page.

12Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
